How to Collect Marketing Opt-Ins

Learn how to opt-in customers for text marketing campaigns

Updated over 5 years ago

There are three ways customers can Opt-In to Marketing:

1. Checking the "I agree..." box when creating an account:

When a customer creates an account online, a checkbox appears with "I agree to receive texts as part of [Your Dispensary's] loyalty and marketing program..." When an account is created with that box checked, the customer is automatically added to your Opt-In list. Checking the box qualifies as a digital signature, thereby giving you permission to send text messages to the phone number associated

with the account.

2. Clicking “Yes, I agree” at Check-In or Point-of-Sale

New and returning customers can opt-in or out of marketing in-person during Check-In or at the point-of-sale. If opting-in, make sure to add a phone number to their profile.

To opt a customer in, go to the customer's profile page and click "Marketing Allowed." Your Marketing Agreement will pop up on the screen allowing your customer to "Agree" to opt-in or "Disagree" to opt-out.

3. Import an Opt-In or Opt-Out list

If you have an existing Opt-in or Opt-out customer list, send us a Chat in Meadow Admin and we'll help you get it imported.
