  2. Click on Upload Plugin.

  3. Drag and drop the . zip file, or click on Choose File.

  4. When uploading is done, click on Install Now.

  5. Once the installation is finished click on Activate.

Once the Meadow Wordpress plugin is installed you can navigate to it using the sidebar on the left. Here you can find instructions on setting up attributes.

Attributes list for Meadow Wordpress plugin
  • Using the Wordpress "shortcodes" function you can choose which fields show up, which are required or optional, and customize the appearance of the form, font and button. For example, the form below asks customers to enter their birthday and referral source.

  • In order for a customer to be created in Meadow, an email and/or phone number is required. We suggest requiring phone number and recording a text marketing opt-in preference. This is helpful if you need to contact customers.

  • Returning customers can update their marketing preference on their Meadow profile by entering their number and clicking the opt-in checkbox on or off.

In addition to the Meadow plugin, you can install other free Wordpress plugins like Hustle to make pop-ups, slide-ins, etc. using the Meadow shortcodes.

Hustle allows you to make these pop-ups dynamic to customer behavior, like number of page visits, what page they are on, how long they view a page, etc.

  • Target first time site visitors with a promo code or discount to reduce bounces.

  • Target returning customers with specials or deals.

  • Show a different "success" messages after creating a profile or signing up for text messages with different promo codes you can track.

NOTES

The Wordpress plugin prioritizes phone number before email:

  1. If a customer enters a phone number or email that is not in the system, a new profile will be created.

  2. If the phone number entered is already in the system, ONLY opt in or out will be updated for the profile (name or email will not be updated).

  3. If only email and no phone number is entered, an account will be created if the email is not associated with a profile already.
