How can retail stores handle pickup and delivery orders?

Nowadays, offering delivery and pickup options is essential to give your customers more ways to order from you. Meadow offers seamless delivery and pickup workflows so you can push more orders every single day and your customers can order through the channel they want.

How to checkout pickup orders:

When your customer shows up to pickup an online order, you can check them out at any POS station. Some dispensaries choose to have a dedicated 'express pickup line' to promote use of online ordering and help get these customers checked out as quickly as possible.

  • Tap 'ORDERS' in the top right corner of the POS screen

  • Select 'Pickup' at the top of the screen

  • Once you choose the order, tap the 'Checkout' button at the bottom and complete the purchase just as you would with a standard POS order

How to handle phone orders:

If a customer calls in to place an order, you can use the Create Order button to enter it into the system.

You can place an order for a returning customer by looking up their name or email address. For a new customer you will enter their name, email and phone number to create a profile.

  • This creates a record of the transaction tied to the customer's profile.

  • It also keeps the data displayed in Inventory and Reporting accurate.

After selecting the customer, you can choose whether this order is for delivery, pickup or in-store under "Type".

Redeeming loyalty for delivery/pickup orders:

Customers can redeem their loyalty points for rewards directly from your online menu at the checkout screen. When they are ready to place their order, the customer can select "Redeem Reward" to see and select from the available options.

Currently, we don't have the option to redeem a loyalty reward from Meadow Admin if a customer forgets to redeem a reward online or places a phone order. In place of using loyalty points directly in the order, you can give the customer a discount and then deduct loyalty points directly from their profile in Admin
