While Luma light therapy is non-invasive and highly safe for managing orthopedic issues, maintaining clear clinical boundaries is vital to protecting your pet's long-term health.
Absolute Contraindications
⚠️ Active cancer, suspected tumors, undiagnosed masses, or a direct history of local oncological conditions represent absolute contraindications for light therapy.
The Biological Reason
Light therapy stimulates cellular activity, ATP production, and localized circulation. Because of this cellular stimulation, the Luma must never be powered on or applied anywhere near an active, suspected, or historical tumor site.
Mandatory Action Protocols
If your pet receives a new cancer diagnosis, discovers an abnormal lump/mass, or has a historical reoccurrence of a tumor, stop all Luma treatments immediately. Contact your clinician through the top-left app chat for a comprehensive safety review.
If you are in the initial unboxing or consultation phase, it is vital that you share your pet's complete oncology history with the clinician so they can accurately evaluate case safety.
Note: Our customer support staff and our automated assistant, Fin, are strictly unauthorized to approve Luma use or modify protocols for tumor-related questions. All oncological boundaries must go through a direct clinical provider review.
