Elbow dysplasia is a common orthopedic condition in dogs, often leading to the development of arthritis over time. This condition results from incongruencies in bone growth, which alter the biomechanics of the elbow joint. These alterations accelerate the wear and tear on the joint, leading to degenerative joint disease, commonly known as osteoarthritis.
