How to Manually Add a User to Your Account

Throughout your MV journey, you will likely encounter times when you wish to only add one or two members to your account manually.

Here's a step by step guide on how you can add your members to your MemberVault account:

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, select 'Members'.

  2. Next, select 'List'. This will populate your current list of members and will display a 'Add Member' button.

  3. When the 'Add Member' screen opens, complete the necessary details for the new member under the 'Member Information' section.

  4. Below the Member Information area, you'll see the 'Product' section where you can select which products you want to give the new member access to by clicking the appropriate checkbox.

  5. Once you've selected all the necessary products, you need to confirm that you have permission to add this person to your MV account by checking the provided checkbox. You cannot proceed with adding the new member if you do not confirm this statement.

    [This measure is in place to ensure that all contacts being added to your account are been collected lawfully and that their privacy rights are being respected.]

  6. Once you've provided confirmation that you have the person's consent to add them to your MV account, go ahead and click the 'Add Member' button.

Congrats! You've now manually added a member to your account and given them product access.

If you need to add more than just a few members, you can always Import Users from a CSV File which would be more efficient.

A few things to note:

  • When members are manually added to your account in this manner (or via a CSV file), they will automatically bypass the opt-in or payment process.

  • Members also added manually or via CSV files are not added to your assigned list or form for the product as MV cannot confirm that you've received the person's direct consent to add them to your email service. In most email services, a person must be assigned to a list in order to be considered an active contact so they can receive emails from you, enter automation, etc. Please consider this should there be other processes/workflows you want the person to go through after being added in MV.

  • If you have any Actions in place that trigger when a member is added to any of the products you've given access to, those Actions will process.

  • Any Zaps that you might have in place through our Zapier App that are set to trigger when a member is added to the product(s) will not be triggered.
