Marking Candidates as "No Show"

Learn how you can mark candidates as "No Show" in Mercu.

Updated today

Unless an interview is cancelled by the candidate or the interviewer, we assume by default that the candidate attended and mark it accordingly in the UI. This reflects customer feedback that most candidates either attend, reschedule, or cancel, given how easy it is via Mercu.

If a candidate does not show up, you can manually mark them as a "No Show" in the Mercu portal. This has no impact on the candidate but creates a record that can be used for analytics, such as calculating attendance rates.

To mark a candidate as "No-Show":

  • Find their interview from the job-level agenda view, the global agenda view, or the schedule column in the table view

  • Hover over the interview and select "Mark as No-Show"

  • The interview will then be marked as "No Show"

If you accidentally marked an interview as "No Show", repeat the same steps to mark it as "Attended" again.

You can only mark interviews as "No-Show" after they have started. Interviews that haven’t started yet cannot be marked as "No-Show."
