Scheduled interviews can be rescheduled or cancelled directly within Mercu, either from the global agenda view or the job-specific agenda view.
Only upcoming interviews can be modified. Once an interview has passed, it can no longer be rescheduled or cancelled.
Rescheduling interviews
To reschedule an interview, locate it in either the global agenda view or the job-specific agenda view. Hover over the interview and click the meatball menu (three dots) on the right.
Select "Ask to Reschedule Session" from the dropdown. This will open a confirmation modal.
Once confirmed, the current interview will be cancelled, and the candidate will be prompted to book a new interview using the same booking flow as the original.
The message sent to the candidate as part of the reschedule request uses a predefined template that cannot be edited within the portal. This ensures reliable delivery across messaging channels and a consistent candidate experience. Learn more about this here.
Cancelling interviews
To cancel an interview without offering a reschedule option, locate it in either the global agenda view or the job-specific agenda view. Hover over the interview and click the meatball menu (three dots) on the right.
Select "Cancel Interview" from the dropdown. A confirmation modal will appear.
Once confirmed, the interview will be cancelled, and the candidate will be notified. They will not be able to book a new interview unless explicitly re-invited. This can be done by re-sending the relevant interview stage from within Mercu.
The message sent to the candidate as part of the cancellation uses a predefined template that cannot be edited within the portal. This ensures reliable delivery across messaging channels and a consistent candidate experience. Learn more about this here.
