In this comprehensive guide, we'll dive deep into each segment of the Marina Settings tab, exploring how to access and optimize your settings for Berths, Utilities, Services, and Pricing.

Whether you're looking to streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, or boost your profitability, mastering these settings is your first step towards achieving your goals. Let's go!

Accessing Marina Settings

Before we can customize, we need to access the Marina Settings tab. It's your command center, where you can fine-tune the details that make your marina unique.

To get there, click on the name of your marina located in the bottom-left corner of your screen and select 'Marina Settings'.

Customizing Berths

Tax Rate Customization

The journey begins with customizing the tax rate for your berths. This setting is crucial as it directly affects the cost associated with each berth, aligning with the regulatory environment of your country. Navigate to this option upon entering the Marina Settings to select the appropriate tax rate, ensuring all berths are automatically updated with this new rate.

All Berths Section

Delving deeper, the 'All Berths' section presents you with a detailed overview of each berth at your marina. Here, you can view and edit:

  • Pontoon

  • Berth Number

  • LOA Size

  • Status

Then, clicking on 'Edit' (on the right side of each berth) allows you to adjust:

  • Dimensions (LOA, Draft, Beam)

  • Status (availability for booking)

  • Booking preferences (direct booking or manual management)

  • Utilities (water supply and electricity).

It's important to note that Pontoon and Berth number are fixed to ensure consistency with the Berthmap feature.

Once your adjustments are made, remember to save your changes.

Managing Utilities and Services

This segment of the Marina Settings is where you can tailor the utilities and services your marina offers.

Whether adding new utilities or editing existing ones, this functionality enables you to align your offerings with your customers' needs and expectations. After making any adjustments, hitting 'Save' ensures these changes are applied.

Setting Up Pricing

Pricing Seasons

Under the Pricing tab, you'll find options to edit the dates and names of your pricing seasons, a critical feature for accurately calculating booking costs.

Pricing Model Setup

This is where you can fine-tune your pricing strategy, choosing between LOA-based pricing or berth-specific rates. Editing individual berth prices or adjusting LOA rates according to season allows for flexibility and precision in your pricing model.

Remember, the method you choose will play a significant role in how the price of a booking is calculated.

Conclusion

Mastering the Marina Settings tab is akin to charting a course for success in the vast ocean of marina management. By carefully customizing each setting, you ensure your marina operates smoothly, meets customer expectations, and remains competitive.

As you become more familiar with these settings, you'll discover new ways to optimize your operations and enhance your marina's appeal.
