Overview

Welcome to our guide on the user check-in process. This guide is essential because a smooth check-in process ensures all necessary preparations are in place, leading to a positive experience from the outset.

Step 1: Select a Booking or a Request

On the Dashboard, we find the 'Departures & Arrivals' section.

As those are the boaters, that will need to check in today, let us select one of those bookings to demonstrate how to perform the check in through Metarina:

Of course, you can select any other Request or Booking through the 'Requests' or 'Bookings' menu.

Step 2: Navigate to the Boaters profile

Once on the booking, scroll down a little to see the 'Boater Information' section:

From here, click on 'View ... Profile' to get to the Boaters profile.

💡 Here we can see if the boater is already checked in. In that case, we still recommend to double check the uploaded documents for expiration dates.

Step 3: Check uploaded boater documents

Now that we are on the boaters Profile, let's have a look at the documents that may be already uploaded.

For that, please scroll down on the landing page, to see the 'Documents for ...' section:

❗️ It is common for Boaters to not have uploaded all documents. In that case, follow this Guide to request the missing Documents:

Step 4: Check uploaded boat documents

Next, let's have a look at the boat's documents.

For that, scroll back up to the menu and select 'Boats':

And following that, the customer's boat:

Once on the overview of the Boat, simply select 'Documents':

Here we find all the documents concerning the boat, that the boater uploaded. To see a document in more detail, click on 'View':

💡 In case a check in at the office is still necessary, make sure to ask the boater to upload or update the documents in Metarina by himself.

This will improve your workflow in the future significantly, as those documents will be available for all future bookings of the boater.

Optional Step 5: Upload Boater Documents yourself

In case, some of the required documents are still missing and a check-in in the marina office is necessary, you can also upload boater and boat documents yourself.

You can find the upload area below the boater and boat documents respectively.

→ Boater document upload:

→ Boat document upload:

Step 6: Mark boater as checked-in

Once we have reviewed all required documents (and have uploaded them to Metarina) as a last step, we want to mark the boater as checked-in.

For that, let's navigate back to the boaters profile:.

In general, we show you the path, how you got to the page you are right now, so to go back, simply click on the previous step you want to go back to:

Now, go back to the 'Personal' section and select 'Edit' in the top right corner:

Once on the 'Edit' page, scroll down to the bottom and click the checkbox, 'Mark as checked in'.

Then finally press 'Save' to complete the check-in process:

Congratulations, you successfully checked in your client.

Next to their name, it will now display that they are already checked in:
