How to Join Your Telehealth Appointment

Everything you need to know before your virtual visit with MindDemand, including how to connect, device requirements, and troubleshooting tips.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

MindDemand offers telehealth appointments so you can meet with your provider from wherever you are in Texas. Virtual visits are conducted through Doximity, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform designed for healthcare.

How You Will Receive Your Link

Before your appointment, you will receive a text message to your mobile phone with a link to join your video visit. In some cases, the link may also be sent to your email address as a backup.

If you do not receive your link within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, please contact us right away via the chat widget, email at support@minddemand.com, or call 972-772-3630.

What You Need

Telehealth visits are browser-based, so there is nothing to download or install. Simply click the link when it is time for your appointment and you will be connected to your provider.

To ensure a smooth visit, please make sure you have:

  • A phone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone

  • A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi is recommended over cellular data)

  • A quiet, private space where you can speak openly with your provider

Tip: Close any unnecessary apps or browser tabs before your visit to improve video and audio quality.

When an In-Person Visit May Be Needed

Most appointments at MindDemand can be conducted virtually. In some cases, your provider may recommend an in-person visit based on your clinical needs. If an in-person visit is needed, your care team will work with you to schedule it at our Dallas office.

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble connecting to your visit:

  1. Check your internet connection. Try switching from cellular data to Wi-Fi, or move closer to your router.

  2. Allow camera and microphone access. Your browser may ask for permission to use your camera and mic. Make sure you click "Allow."

  3. Try a different browser. If the link is not working in one browser, try opening it in Google Chrome or Safari.

  4. Restart your device. If all else fails, a quick restart can often resolve connectivity issues.

If you are still unable to connect, contact us immediately at 972-772-3630 and we will help you get into your appointment or reschedule if needed.
