How to Deliver a Course via Intercom Conversation or Posts

You can send your course or collection to your users in three ways: as a conversation, a chat message, or a post in Intercom.

If you want to send a course directly to a single contact, use a Conversation.

If you want to send it to many users at once, based on attributes or segments, use Messages or Posts in Outbound.

How to send a course or collection in a Conversation

Go to your inbox and press C to start a new conversation.

Click Show shortcuts.

Select Use Mini Course Generator.

Choose the course or collection you want to send and add it to the conversation.

Your user will see the course in their Intercom Messenger, inside the conversation.

How to send a course or collection to with Chat messages or Posts

Go to Outbound in your Intercom dashboard. and click +New message on top right.

Choose Chat or Post. These are the only message types where you can add apps.

In the message editor, click the + icon in the content area and select App.

Choose Mini Course Generator and select the course or collection you want and add it.

You can then set Rules, Frequency and scheduling, and Goals as usual.

For example, you can send a post only to users who signed up after a specific date.

This is how it look like to your users if you add your course to a post.

โ„น๏ธ No matter if you send a post or chat message, the course will always open in the Intercom Messenger.
