Error messages relating to the HS Code (Harmonised Code) missing or being invalid when shipping with DPD can be resolved by reviewing the information below:
Ensure the commodity code being used on the Product(s) is valid.
You will need to check they are valid on the GOV.uk site.
DPD validate against a UK Export Prohibited List where certain items cannot be sent to certain countries.
Finally, if the code is valid, but you still get that error, it may mean the code breaches their terms of delivery, i.e. DPD do not carry that product.
To check the commodity code against the product(s) please do the following:
Click Products then Overview.
Next, search for the product.
Click Actions then Edit.
Make any changes to the Commodity Code field.
Finally, click Save.
Repeat for additional products, then try generating the shipment again.
