If you are trying to create a shipment for FedEx and get an error (Unable to Create Shipment:Notification no. 0 Severity: ERROR Code: 6505 Message: Weight - weight must be greater than 0 in RequestedPackage 1 Source: ship), this will be caused by no value shown for the weight of the Product or Order. Please correct this by updating the weight on the Product(s) and Order then try generating the shipment again.
To edit the Product Weight, please do the following:
Click Products then Overview.
Search for the Product.
Click Actions then Edit.
Next, click the Pricing & Size tab.
Edit the Weight.
Click Save.
Repeat Steps 2 - 6 for additional products.
Once you have entered a weight for each item in the order, you must recalculate the order weight. To do this please follow the below.
Go to Orders Overview, then find your order.
Open the Bulk Actions drop-down and search for Recalculate Order Weight.
Click the tick box next to the order you want to recalculate.
Click Go.
You should then be able to generate the shipment.
