Overview

There are multiple options to cancel orders - each with slightly different results. You can cancel an order in any status, although please note - if the orders are in Invoiced status, all picking and shipping charges will still get applied to the client.

Prerequisite - Roles and Permissions

Before being able to cancel orders on Mintsoft, please ensure you have the correct roles and permissions added to your Warehouse or Client User Account.

  • 3PL Client Users: Enable the ClientCancelOrder within the Client-EditOrders role group.

  • Warehouse Users: Enable the AdminCancelOrder within the Orders role group.

    • Additionally, there are other roles for Warehouse Users regarding cancelling orders that you can enable if required:

      • AdminCancelOrders (Orders role group).

      • AdminCancelNoStock (AdminSuper role group).

      • AdminCancelAndDelete (AdminSuper role group).

      • AdminCancelMultipleOrders (AdminSuper role group).

Stop Despatched Orders Being Cancelled

Before cancelling an order that's already been despatched, you must disable the Stop Despatched Orders Being Cancelled toggle. This can be found using the following steps:

  1. Click Warehouse, then Manage Warehouses.

  2. Click Edit next to the relevant warehouse.

  3. Turn Stop Despatched Orders Being Cancelled to OFF.

  4. Finally, click Save.

How to cancel an Order

To cancel single or multiple orders in Mintsoft, please do the following:

  1. Click Orders then Overview.

  2. Tick one or more orders.

  3. Select one of the cancel options from the bulk actions dropdown menu -

    • Cancel.

    • Cancel - No Stock: This can only be done to one order at a time.

    • Cancel - Charge for Picking.

    • Cancel and Delete Order: This should only be used if you want to remove the record of the order from Mintsoft.

    • Cancel Courier Label.

    • UnCancel: This can be used if you make a mistake and need to reverse the cancellation.

  4. Finally, click Go.

Cancel

The first option is to Cancel the order. Selecting this option will automatically unallocate stock from the order - making it available again.

Cancel - No Stock

Selecting Cancel - No Stock will cancel the order, but it assumes you are cancelling because you do not have sufficient stock available, and so it will create a neutral stock movement, with the effect of not adding the stock back. This cannot be done in Bulk.

Cancel - Charge for Picking

Selecting Cancel - Charge for Picking will automatically unallocate the stock - but still charge for the picking costs if you have already picked and packed the order.

Cancel and Delete Order

Selecting Cancel and Delete Order will firstly mark the order as Cancelled then delete/ remove the order from the system.

Cancel Courier Label

Cancelling the order will not automatically cancel any courier labels associated with it - you'll need to do this separately using the Cancel Courier Label Action.

UnCancel

Selecting UnCancel will reverse the cancel action and revert the order to the NEW status.
