This article explains how orders synchronise between Mintsoft and Delta, including courier service configuration and dispatch processes.

Before you start

To use the Delta courier integration, you'll need:

  • An activated courier account in Mintsoft.

  • Configured courier services in Mintsoft.

  • Your Delta account linked in Mintsoft.

  • Understanding of Delta dispatch processes.

Order requirements for synchronising to Delta

Orders must meet these criteria before they'll synchronise from Mintsoft to Delta:

  • A courier service must be selected on the order.

  • Order status must be NEW.

  • Stock must be available - either set to infinite in Mintsoft or with sufficient stock allocated to prevent backorder status.

Configure haulier codes

The Delta integration uses haulier codes to match courier services between systems. These codes determine which courier service Delta uses when dispatching orders.

Set up courier service names

Your Mintsoft courier service names must match Delta haulier codes exactly. For example, if your Delta haulier code is DPD24, your Mintsoft courier service must also be named DPD24.

Note: Delta haulier codes are limited to eight characters. If your courier service name exceeds eight characters, only the first eight characters are sent to Delta.

Add haulier codes in Delta

  1. In Delta, go to Setup then click Hauliers.

  2. Create a haulier code that matches your Mintsoft courier service name exactly.

  3. Configure label settings to prompt for the number of labels and total weight during dispatch.

Tip: Contact your Account Manager to set default values for labels and weight to avoid manual entry for each dispatch.

Dispatch process from Delta

When you dispatch an order in Delta:

  • Delta requests courier labels from Mintsoft automatically.

  • Mintsoft uses the current courier service assigned to the order, even if it's been changed since the initial sync.

  • Any haulier code changes made in Delta before dispatch are ignored - Mintsoft's courier service takes precedence.

Note: If weight information isn't provided during dispatch, Mintsoft uses the default product weight if available.

Handle orders created in Delta

For orders created directly in Delta that need Mintsoft courier labels:

  • The Delta haulier code must either match a Mintsoft courier service name exactly, or

  • You must create a Courier Service Mapping entry to link the Delta haulier code to the correct Mintsoft service.

To set up Courier Service Mapping, map your eight-character Delta haulier codes to the corresponding Mintsoft courier service names.

Troubleshoot label failures

Label generation errors appear in the Delta Import or Export Exception Pool. These show the same error messages you'd see in Mintsoft when generating labels.

To resolve label failures:

  1. Go to Picking & Packing then click Order Pick and Pack.

  2. Search for your order using:

    • Order Number - Use the Delta Goods Out Number for orders created in Delta.

    • Order ID - Use Reference1 (for orders from Mintsoft) or the Order Code field (for the Mintsoft Order ID).

  3. Fix any courier service or address issues.

  4. Regenerate the label.

Stock attribute limitations

The current Delta integration doesn't support batch and serial number synchronisation. If you book stock with batch or serial numbers in Delta:

  • Only stock level changes sync to Mintsoft.

  • Batch and serial number information won't transfer.
