When you upload a video to Minvo, the platform processes it to generate transcripts, identify moments, and prepare it for editing. The processing time typically depends on the length of the video.
⏱ Expected Processing Time
As a general rule:
Processing time is approximately half the length of the video.
Example
A 1-hour video usually takes about 30 minutes to process.
Minimum processing time:
Even short videos may take around 5 minutes to complete processing.
If your video is taking significantly longer than expected, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
To reprocess your video free of charge, please open the video and click the "Help" icon at the top right.
Then select "Reprocess Video". If your video is showing as "Failed to Process".
🛠 Troubleshooting Processing Delays
1️⃣ Check the Video Source
If the Video Was Imported from YouTube or Vimeo
Action:
Wait a few minutes and try again.
Why:
The external import API may occasionally be temporarily unavailable.
If the issue continues, download the video from the platform and upload it directly to Minvo instead.
If the Video Was Uploaded from Your Device
Action:
Verify that the file is not corrupted and uses a standard encoding format.
Why:
Videos using uncommon codecs or non-standard encoding may take longer to process or fail.
Recommended format:
Format: MP4
Codec: H.264
If necessary, re-export the video using these settings and upload it again.
2️⃣ Make Sure the Video Has Clear Audio
Action:
Check that the audio contains clear and audible speech.
Why:
Minvo relies on speech recognition to generate transcripts and identify moments. If the audio is:
Missing
Extremely quiet
Distorted or unclear
the AI may struggle to process the video correctly.
If needed, enhance the audio and re-upload the file.
3️⃣ Allow Additional Processing Time
If your video is still within the expected processing window, allow it to continue processing.
However, if the video has been processing for more than 3 hours, it may be stuck.
4️⃣ Contact Minvo Support
If the issue persists, please contact Minvo Support and provide the following information:
Video length
How the video was uploaded (YouTube/Vimeo import or direct upload)
Any error messages displayed in the platform
This information helps the team investigate and resolve the issue faster.
