For the best results, we recommend using the built-in microphone on your iPhone or iPad. In our testing, iPhone and iPad microphones have consistently provided better dictation accuracy than most Bluetooth microphones.
Our testing has consistently shown that iPhone and iPad microphones outperform most Bluetooth microphones for medical dictation.
Using AirPods or a Bluetooth Headset
You can also use AirPods or another Bluetooth headset for dictation.
To allow an external microphone:
Open Settings in Conveyor AI.
Select Dictation Settings.
Turn Prefer Device Microphone Off.
Selecting Your Microphone
When Prefer Device Microphone is turned off and a Bluetooth microphone is connected to your iPhone or iPad, a Bluetooth icon will appear next to the microphone button on the Dictation screen.
To choose which microphone Conveyor AI uses:
Tap the Bluetooth icon next to the microphone button.
Select either:
iPhone/iPad Microphone
Your connected Bluetooth microphone
Note: The Bluetooth icon is only displayed when a Bluetooth microphone is paired and connected to your device.
