My EPOS till is not working or turning on.

How to troublehoot if you EPOS terminal is not turning on.

If you EPOS terminal is not working and has a blank or black screen then follow this troublehooting process:

Step 1: Check that the EPOS terminal is turned on?

  • Locate the power button on the EPOS terminal - this is generally located at the bottom of the main screen, near the interface ports.

  • Press the power button.

Step 2: Check that the EPOS terminal has mains power supply.

  • Locate the power cable that connects the EPOS terminal to the mains power socket and check the following:

    • Is the EPOS power cable plugged into the mains power supply?

    • Is the switch on the mains power socket turn on?

    • If the EPOS terminal is plugged into an extension lead, does the extension lead have power?

    • Follow the mains power lead until you reach a power brick - check that the "kettle lead" has not come loose and check that the power brick power light is on.

    • Check that the mains power lead is secuely connected at the EPOS terminal end.

  • If the EPOS terminal still does not have power you will need to check the following:

    • Find a mains power socket that you definitely know is working.

    • Plug the EPOS terminal power plug into the working power socket.
