If you want a very cool map to appear in your proposals (either of the destination city, the route of the cruise ship or the flight from one airport to another), you can do it within a trip from any text editor.

Here is a video explaining these steps in more detail:

1. Map builder

This functionality can be used to great advantage, so we recommend you to follow our tips to customise even the colour of your maps. Let's see it step by step:

Step 1: Open Google Maps

In Google Maps, click on the menu (three lines) in the top left corner of the screen:

Click on "Your sites":

Click on "Create map":

And finally, a new tab opens. This is where we start to build our map from scratch:

We can give the map a title and customise the background colour:

Step 2: Add the points

This step consists of adding the points of our itinerary to the map. To do this, you have to enter the city/restaurant/hotel or any place you want to appear in the search engine:

In this way a point is added to which we can give a name and also personalise it with colours or icons:

Or even show the order of stops:

Step 3: Join the points on the map

Once we have all the points on the map, there is the option to join them:

And as with the points, this polygon can also be customised:

Step 4: Sharing

To be able to insert it in our proposal, click on "get a preview" and copy the url.

The last step is to paste the url into MOGU:

2. Insert simple map

If you prefer not to create a map from scratch, and you just want to insert a Google Maps url... we also show you how to do it.

You only have to go to Google Maps and select the point or route you want to show.

  • A specific point (destination city, airport, location of a museum you are going to visit, location of a restaurant, etc.).

  • A route (e.g. flight from one airport to another, a bus trip between several cities, etc.)

Details to take into account:

  • Make sure that the URL you paste starts with "https://www.google.com/".

  • Be careful! Because the zoom that you have on the map when you copy the URL, is the one that will appear later in your proposal.

How to insert it in your proposal

Next you will have to go to edit the trip where you want to include it and decide in which section you want to include it. Once you are in the text editor, click on the map icon and paste the Google Maps url.

That's how cool it will look in your proposal:
