The Google Ads integration in Mortar DS enables a seamless and secure connection between your advertising account and the Mortar platform. This integration plays a critical role in powering Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) — allowing Mortar DS to automatically ingest, clean, and analyse your ad data alongside other key sources such as Meta Ads and Sales Data.
By connecting your Google Ads account, you can:
Enable secure and direct access to your ad performance data via Google Single Sign-On (SSO).
Automate data flow from Google Ads into Mortar DS, eliminating the need for manual exports.
Standardise and prepare data for use in Mortar’s MMM engine — ensuring consistency, accuracy, and real-time modeling capabilities.
This integration saves time, enhances accuracy, and empowers you to generate data-driven marketing insights by analysing spend, impressions, conversions, and ROI across all major platforms.
How to Connect Google Ads to Mortar DS
Step 1: Access the Integrations Page
1. In your Mortar DS dashboard, navigate to the Integrations section.
2. From the list of available integrations, select Google Ads.
Step 2: Connect Using Google SSO
1. Click Connect with Google to initiate the integration process.
2. A Google login window will open — log in using your Google Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
3. Click Continue to grant Mortar DS secure access to your Google Ads data.
4. When authorisation is successful, you’ll see a confirmation window indicating access has been granted.
Step 3: Select the Ad Account
1. A pop-up will display a list of your existing Google Ads accounts linked to your Google login.
2. Choose the specific Ad Account you want to connect to Mortar DS.
3. Once selected, Mortar DS will begin syncing your advertising data automatically.
Step 4: Save the Integration
1. Click Save to finalise the setup.
2. You’ll see a Connected status under the Google Ads section in your Mortar integrations dashboard — confirming that the connection is active.
Step 5: Data Synchronisation and Analysis
Once connected, your Google Ads data will automatically flow into Mortar DS in near real time.
The platform will:
Continuously sync campaign, ad group, and performance data (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions, etc.).
Format and structure the data for compatibility with Helix engine
Combine your Google Ads performance with data from Meta Ads and Sales to deliver deeper, cross-channel marketing insights.
This unified dataset enables more accurate attribution analysis, ROI measurement, and forecasting of media effectiveness.
Step 6: Verify the Connection
Once successfully connected, the Google Ads icon on your Mortar DS integrations page will display a green box in the upper-right corner — indicating that your integration is live and syncing correctly.
