Adding a New Booking Using an Existing Default Slot

If you prefer using the planner to manage your workflow, you have the option to add bookings directly from the planner interface. This ensures that the bookings are seamlessly integrated into both the planner and the diary.

To add a booking to the planner, follow these steps:

  1. Click the 'Diaries' tab and choose 'Planner' from the dropdown menu.

  2. Within the planner view, click the 'New Booking' tab near the top of the screen. Click on this to open a new booking form.

  3. In the 'Booking Action' section, you have the choice to either select an existing slot from your default slots or opt to 'Insert a New Slot', which generates a booking slot specific to this booking.

Using an Existing Slot

If you opt to use an existing slot, you can specify the desired slot by selecting options from the dropdown menus. When adding a booking this way, you only need to choose a date and Slot Type. Then available slots can be viewed in the 'Available Slots' dropdown menu.

Once a time slot is selected and saved, you can proceed to input customer and vehicle details similar to the process in the Diary view.

Inserting a New Slot:

Selecting 'Insert a New Slot' allows the addition of a new booking alongside the default slots visible in your diary. This feature allows you to specify a Slot Type, Bay and Technician unique to the particular booking, subsequently inserting it into your diary and planner.

To create a booking this way from the planner, simply click the 'New Booking' button as previously described. Then, select 'Insert a New Slot', fill out the requisite details for the booking, and save the changes.
