Adding a Booking

Adding a new booking within your Virtual Garage Manager is versatile and can be executed through various pages. In this guide, we'll focus on adding a booking via the diary view Which can be accessed by clicking "Diaries > Add New Diary Tab."

In a diary tab, you'll have two options: booking a vehicle into an existing slot or creating a new slot specifically for the new booking. To use an existing slot, simply select the desired time and job type in your diary. For instance, let's book a vehicle for a 10:00 MOT slot on the MOT Bay. Double-click on the slot to initiate the booking process.

This will open a form to fill with customer and vehicle details. Alternatively, you can utilize the search bar to find an existing customer and autofill the form with their stored information by selecting the appropriate options (Customer, Vehicle, Both) in the top right corner.

Upon completing the form, clicking 'Save' confirms the booking, and it then appears in your diary.

Inserting a New Slot

To add a booking into a newly created slot, you must first insert a slot into the diary. From the diary view, navigate to the bottom of the screen and click 'Insert'.

Subsequently, you'll be prompted to specify the booking time, slot type, bay, and technician. Adding a booking in this manner generates a new slot alongside your existing default slots. After inputting the necessary details, clicking 'Save' finalizes the process, and the booking seamlessly integrates into your diary.
