Setting default slots in your system serves two main purposes: planning daily job availability and enabling customers to book jobs online if you have an online booking feature. These default slots help organize your workflow and provide customers with convenient scheduling options.

To configure slots and slot types in VGM, follow these steps:

Go to "Config" and select "Slots" from the dropdown menu, then click on "Default Slots"

  1. Choose the time for the slot you want to set.

  2. Select the slot type(s) you would like to associate with this slot. You can choose multiple slot types for one slot, providing customers with various options for the same slot time. However, once one of the slots is selected, it will become unavailable for others to book.

  3. Assign the bay/technician to be associated with that slot.

  4. Tick the website box if you want the slot to be displayed on the website. If unticked, the slot will be hidden from the website.

  5. Click "Save" to add the slot to your scheduled slots.

Editing/deleting existing default slots

To edit or remove an existing slot, select the slot you want to modify and click "Edit Menu." This will provide you with various tools, including copying and pasting slots, changing the slot type, technician, and bay, as well as deleting the slot entirely.

Once you are satisfied with your default slots, remember to click the "Save" button at the top to save your changes.
