You can effortlessly create multiple sales invoices from a single jobsheet. This is designed to streamline your workflow, particularly for long-running jobs requiring multiple invoicing cycles. In this article, we'll walk you through utilizing this feature and highlight how it enhances your garage management experience.

Step 1: Generate an Invoice Without Closing the Jobsheet

Begin by navigating to the desired jobsheet you wish to invoice. Click the ‘Create Sales Invoice’ button. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to close the jobsheet, which is checked by default. To keep the jobsheet open for additional work, simply uncheck this box and click ‘Continue’.

Step 2: Add or Modify Line Items

After creating the initial sales invoice, you can add more line items or edit existing ones within the jobsheet. Items not in sync with their current invoice or not yet invoiced will be marked with a warning indicator. Hover over the icon for details.

Step 3: Update Invoices

To synchronize existing invoices with jobsheet changes, click the ‘Push Item Differences’ button in the top toolbar. This ensures all invoices reflect the latest jobsheet information. The invoice number column, visible for partially invoiced jobsheets or those with multiple linked invoices, indicates each item's associated invoice.

Step 4: Create Additional Invoices

To invoice remaining items, use the ‘Create Additional Sales Invoice for Not Yet Invoiced Items’ button. This generates a new invoice for outstanding items, enabling easy tracking of multiple invoices for a single jobsheet.

Step 5: Edit Linked Sales Invoices

To edit sales invoices linked to a jobsheet, click the ‘Edit Sales Invoice’ button. This presents a list of connected invoices, simplifying management and editing tasks.

The multi-invoice feature in VGM offers a streamlined and efficient solution for managing long-running jobs and multiple invoices. With this feature, tracking your garage’s workflow becomes easier, allowing you to focus more on serving your customers.
