Overview
If a session, note, transcript, or recording appears missing, check the places below before starting again. In many cases the session is still active, filtered out, or waiting for upload.
1. Check Scribe -> New Session
Sessions may stay on New Session until you complete them.
Open Scribe Agent.
Go to New Session.
Check whether the session is still active.
If it is active, continue working and click Complete when finished.
2. Check Scribe -> History
Open Scribe Agent -> History.
Clear search and date filters.
Search by patient name, session name, or approximate date.
If your organisation shares access, confirm whether another user recorded the session under their account.
3. If the transcript is empty or incomplete
Common causes:
The microphone was muted or disconnected.
The wrong microphone was selected.
The browser tab was closed during recording or upload.
The device went to sleep.
The network dropped during upload.
Background noise prevented clear speech detection.
Open the session and check for error messages, upload progress, or failed recording indicators.
4. If you recorded with poor or no internet
Use the same device and browser profile you used to record. Do not switch browser profiles or devices while trying to recover a pending upload.
Keep the Motics tab open until uploads finish. If an upload is still pending, wait for the sync or upload indicator to complete before closing the tab or laptop.
5. If a mobile recording disappeared
Open Motics on the same mobile device and account used to record. Check whether the recording is still pending upload or conversion.
If the app recorded but no transcript or note appeared, contact support and do not delete the app before support has investigated.
6. What to send support
If you still cannot find the session, open the chat widget and send:
Your Motics account email.
Patient/session name if safe to share.
Approximate recording date and time.
Device type and browser/app version.
Whether you were on web or mobile.
Whether you saw a transcript, upload progress, or error message.
Whether you clicked Complete.
