Phone Agent business profile and verification for phone numbers

Why business verification is required before purchasing Phone Agent numbers, what details are needed, and how to troubleshoot verification issues.

Quick answer

Some countries require business verification before you can purchase or activate a Phone Agent number. If Motics asks for verification, complete your business profile in Phone Agent > Settings, submit it for review, then wait for the verification status to update.

Where to complete verification

  1. Open Phone Agent.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Open the business profile or verification section.

  4. Complete all required business and authorised representative details.

  5. Submit the profile for verification.

Details you may need

  • Business name.

  • Business registration or tax number, where applicable.

  • Business website.

  • Authorised representative phone number in international format, for example +447912345678.

  • Registered business address, including city, postcode, and country.

Verification statuses

Your status may show as Not Submitted, Pending Review, Verified, Action Required, Rejected, or Needs Resubmission.

Pending review usually takes up to 3 business days, although this can vary by country and provider checks.

If verification is action required, rejected, or needs resubmission

  • Open the verification section and check which field needs attention.

  • Confirm the business name and address match official records.

  • Check the authorised representative phone number is in E.164 international format.

  • Resubmit after making changes.

If you cannot buy a phone number

If number purchase is blocked, check that the business profile is complete and that verification is approved for the selected country. If it still fails, contact Motics support with the country, number type you are trying to purchase, verification status, and any error shown on screen.
