Anywhere you find a recipe in the app, you can add it to your plan — from your weekly suggestions, the full recipe library, or your Favorites and Cooked history. Here's how each one works.
From your Weekly Suggestions
Every week, we hand-pick a curated set of recipes so you don't have to go hunting. This is one of the biggest values of the Meals tab: your suggestions are already waiting for you, chosen to share ingredients, cut prep time, and make the week feel manageable — no decisions required.
The fastest way to add one is right from the Recipes tab — each suggestion card has a ⊕ button in the corner. Tap it to add that recipe to your plan instantly, without opening it first.
💡 Tip: Love a recipe? Tap the heart icon ♡ to save it to your Favorites. The more you heart, the easier it gets to build future weeks — you'll always have a shortlist of recipes you know and love, right alongside fresh suggestions to try.
From the recipe library
Want to browse or read through a recipe before committing? Open any recipe from the Recipes tab and tap the blue Add to Plan button at the bottom — it's there on both the Ingredients and Instructions tabs.
You can also add without leaving My Plan: tap Add a recipe from the My Plan tab to open the full recipe library and search from there.
From your Favorites or Cooked History
Made something before and want to add it back? Open any recipe from your Favorites tab or your Cooked tab and tap Add to Plan. Great for bringing back a weekly staple without having to search for it again.
Once a recipe is added to your plan
Head to the My Plan tab to see everything in your week's lineup. From there you can generate and share a grocery list, open any recipe when you're ready to cook, and mark it as cooked when you're done — it'll move to your Cooked tab automatically.
Turn your plan into a grocery list
Once your week is built, you don't have to copy the ingredients out by hand. From the My Plan tab, tap Select in the top right, tap the recipes you're shopping for, then tap Grocery in the bar at the bottom. You'll get a single list you can send to Notes, a text, email, or print.
