Not yet — dietary preferences are currently set on a per-search basis. Each time you open the search screen, you can apply dietary restriction filters for that session, but they don't carry over automatically to your next search.

The good news: filtering is quick. Tap Dietary Restrictions in the filter panel, choose your preferences, and tap Apply. Your results update instantly. See How do dietary filters work in the Meals Tab? for the full walkthrough.
In the meantime: Substitutions
Even without saved preferences, nearly every recipe in the Meals tab includes a Substitutions section on the Ingredients tab, with swaps for the categories that apply to that recipe — Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian or Nuts. So even if you open a recipe that isn't tagged for your dietary need, there's almost always a clear path to make it work.
