Why Does My Subscription Still Show as Active After I Canceled?

My subscription still shows as active after I cancelled, or I was charged twice. How to confirm a cancellation went through and what to do about a stale or duplicate charge.

If you canceled but still see your subscription marked active, this is typically a sync delay rather than an error.

  1. Check the source. Confirm the cancellation shows as canceled or expired in your Apple or Google subscription settings (not just in the Moves App).

  2. Wait it out. Billing can take until the day after your subscription's end date to fully stop. If you check too early, it may still appear active.

  3. Still showing active? Apple-managed subscriptions occasionally don't sync correctly with Moves. Contact support@movesapp.com — we'll clear the stale record from our system so you can re-subscribe cleanly.

If you were charged after canceling:

  • Restore through the app: Go to Profile → Manage Subscription → Payment Methods, and add a payment method to re-link your subscription. If you've already paid for the current period, it's reinstated at no extra charge.

  • Re-subscribe on the website: Sign up using the same email linked to your account, and use any applicable promo code to offset the prior charge.
