Import Fees and Tariffs

Learn about the impact of US Tariffs and Import fees on MPB’s pricing.

Updated this week

Will MPB’s prices be impacted by US tariffs?

No. MPB’s prices are not affected by tariffs. We price our used photo and video gear based on real-time market data — including supply and demand, condition, and buyer trends — not on international duties or fees.

  • MPB operates a dedicated regional platform in the U.S., and gear is primarily recirculated domestically.

  • U.S. buyers and sellers are not subject to tariffs or import taxes.

  • If you are sending gear to MPB from outside the U.S., your shipment may be subject to import duties and tariffs. These fees do not affect the individual item quote price we provide.

What about international customers?

International Buyers

You can purchase gear from MPB even if you're located outside the U.S. When ordering internationally, your shipment will be subject to local import duties, taxes, or fees, which are determined by your country’s customs authority.

  • These fees are not affected by U.S. tariffs.

  • FedEx will usually contact you before delivery to collect any import charges. Your gear won’t be delivered until these are paid.

  • MPB does not collect or manage international import fees and is not responsible for any delays or costs caused by customs (e.g. incomplete paperwork, payment pending).

Please see our MPB Delivery Information article for more information about international deliveries from MPB.

Trading with MPB from Canada

If you're located in Canada, MPB’s U.S. Circular Commerce Center can only accept trades — we do not offer a sell-only option for Canadian customers. Your shipment to MPB will be subject to U.S. import duties and tariffs, based on the classification and value of your gear.

  • You must arrange and pay for shipping your gear to MPB

  • U.S. import duties and tariffs must be prepaid directly to your courier before the gear is shipped.

  • MPB does not reimburse or handle any import-related charges.

  • In the event of a cancellation, you’re responsible for return shipping and any additional duties charged by Canadian customs when your gear re-enters the country.

Because trades involve sending gear to MPB and receiving new gear in return, you will incur import-related fees both ways — once when shipping your gear to MPB, and again when receiving your new gear.

Once you have set up your free quote, please contact us with your quote reference number (e.g., TX-US-1234567) so we can help you proceed.

Tip for Canadian customers: You can use your MPB quote as a reference when working with your courier. It includes the gear's model and estimated value — helpful details for completing customs paperwork. If you need further assistance, MPB will be happy to help.
