Packing Your Kit

Packing your photo and video kit properly helps ensure it arrives safely at MPB’s Circular Commerce Center for inspection. Follow the steps below to protect your equipment in transit.

Guidelines

To keep your kit protected during shipping:

Step 1 of 6: Print, pack and label

Collections

  • Attach one MPB label to each box

  • Labels are in your confirmation email and the Transactions tab of your account.

  • The courier will provide you with a DPD tracking label upon arrival

Drop Off

  • Attach one MPB label to each box

  • Labels are in your confirmation email and the Transactions tab of your account.

  • Use the QR code provided to scan your parcel at your local DPD drop-off shop

  • If you have access to a printer, you can also print the DPD label and apply this to your parcel instead

Step 2 of 6: Prepare your kit

  • Remove memory cards (unless included in your quote).

  • Clean and wrap each item, including chargers and plugs.

  • Add all original manufacturer accessories (and any relevant third-party ones).

Step 3 of 6: Prepare the batteries

  • Place a battery inside your kit.

  • If your quote includes extras, wrap them individually inside the box.

Step 4 of 6: Pack your kit

  • Use a sturdy box with tightly packed protective materials.

  • Ensure nothing is loose.

  • MPB recycles all packing materials where possible.

Step 5 of 6: Seal your box

  • Once secure, tape your box with clear or brown packing tape.

  • Attach shipping information using the labels and instructions we send you.

Step 6 of 6: Ship your kit

  • Drop off at a staffed DPD Drop-off location.

  • Your item is ready to be collected by a DPD driver from your home.

Tips

  • Use a strong box: avoid thin, torn, or damaged packaging.

  • Wrap items individually with bubble wrap or foam padding.

  • Fill empty spaces with cushioning material to prevent movement.

  • Don’t rely on original product boxes alone — place them inside a larger outer box with padding.

  • Seal securely: use strong tape across all seams and edges.

  • Only send quoted items — don’t include anything extra.

  • Double-check your quote in your account or confirmation email.

  • Keep your receipt: you’ll also get a confirmation once your kit arrives.

  • Take photos of your kit before shipping in case of damage or loss.

What Happens Next?

You can drop off your package with the courier. Once your kit arrives:

  1. It’s unboxed and inspected by MPB product specialists.

  2. We verify the cosmetic condition, functionality, and usage data.

  3. You’ll receive a final quote, which may be adjusted based on our inspection.

  4. Once you confirm the final quote and enter payment details, payment will be issued to your bank account within 1–2 business days, or the kit you’re trading for will be dispatched.

For more details, see our MPB Collections article.
