Calorie Counter stores your app data locally on your device and can sync it with your iCloud account. Your personal app data is not transferred to our servers, which helps protect your privacy.
If your data suddenly disappeared, there are a few things worth checking. Data can become unavailable if iCloud storage is full, iCloud sync is disabled, you changed your Apple ID, or local app data was removed from the device. Some cleaning or storage management apps may also remove local app files.
1. Check your iCloud storage
Make sure your iCloud storage isn't full. When there isn't enough available space, your device may not be able to save or sync new data properly.
Go to Settings â your name â iCloud and check how much storage is available.
If your storage is full, free up some space and allow your device time to sync again.
2. Make sure iCloud sync is enabled
Go to Settings â your name â iCloud and check the app list. Make sure Calorie Counter is enabled so the app can sync its data with iCloud.
Also make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used when the data was originally saved.
3. Check whether you have an iCloud backup
If your data is still missing, check whether you have an iCloud backup from before the data disappeared. Depending on when the backup was created, restoring your device from that backup may help recover your previous app data.
You can find Apple's instructions for restoring from an iCloud backup here.
âïž Important: Before restoring a backup, make sure you understand that restoring an older backup can replace some of the data currently stored on your device.
How to prevent data loss
To help keep your data available in the future:
Keep iCloud Drive enabled.
Make sure Calorie Counter is enabled in your iCloud settings.
Keep enough free iCloud storage available for your data to sync.
Use the same Apple ID when setting up a new iPhone or iPad.
Avoid using storage or cache cleaning tools that may remove app files.
đĄ Tip: If you recently changed devices, Apple ID, or iCloud settings, check these first before making any further changes to the app. This can help determine whether your data is still available through iCloud.
