You might be a little confused about the difference between YouTube Music and YouTube Content ID - No problem, we're here to help!

YouTube Music is a streaming service that's very similar to the other streaming platforms we currently offer. It has a "freemium" tier in which users can still listen to everything, though it will be interrupted with ads which finance the payout for the streaming of your music. YouTube Premium on the otherhand, is financed by monthly subscription fees. Youtube Music sometimes gets mistaken for Youtube itself, however you will notice the difference when you see the so-called "Topic Channels". YouTube Music uses theses channels to create "Artist Profiles" and add so-called "Art Tracks" to the channel based on the releases of this artist. Art Tracks are videos made of the release's artwork underlined with the according audio.

YouTube Content ID is a digital fingerprinting system to easily identify and manage copyrighted content on YouTube. Videos uploaded to YouTube are compared against audio and video files registered with Content ID by content owners, looking for any matches.

A delivery to YouTube Content ID enables monetization on the video sharing platform. In order to do this properly and distinguish the thousands of tracks that have been delivered to YouTube from each other, a digital fingerprint is created. With this YouTube can scan all videos on their platform and identify when your music is being used.

Selecting YouTube Content ID might result in claims being made by MusicHub/ZEBRALUTION on videos. Please be aware that there may also be claims on your own videos by MusicHub/ZEBRALUTION, please do not reject these.
