How to Request Approval for Restricted Items in Amazon Seller Central (via AccelerList)

🔎 Overview

If your books or products appear under the Restricted Menu in AccelerList, it means Amazon requires approval before you can sell them.

This guide will walk you through:

  1. How to request approval

  2. What to expect in Seller Central

  3. What to do after you are approved


✅ Step 1: Locate the Restricted Item in AccelerList

  1. Open your batch in AccelerList.

  2. Look for items marked as Restricted.

  3. Click the “View Restricted” icon


You will then see the option to:

👉 Request Approval via Seller Central


✅ Step 2: Request Approval in Seller Central

  1. Click Request Approval via Seller Central.

  2. A new tab will open.

  3. Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account.

Once logged in, Amazon will guide you through the approval process.


📄 Step 3: Submit Required Documents (If Asked)

Amazon may require:

  • Recent wholesale invoice (within 180 days)

  • Supplier information

  • Minimum quantity purchase

  • Business details matching your Seller Central account

  • Product images (in some cases)

⚠️ Note:
Retail receipts (Walmart, Target, etc.) are usually not accepted.
Amazon typically requires wholesale invoices.


⏳ Step 4: Wait for Approval

  • Approval usually takes 24–72 hours

  • You’ll receive a notification inside Seller Central

  • If denied, Amazon will explain why


🔄 Step 5: After You’re Approved

Once Amazon approves you:

  1. Go back to your batch in AccelerList

  2. Click Resync Items

  3. The system will automatically update the listing status

  4. You can now proceed with listing the item


💡 Alternative Option

If you also sell on eBay:
You may list restricted Amazon items on eBay while waiting for Amazon approval.
