What Happens If Your eBay Account Is Restricted?

Learn how eBay account restrictions can affect your listings and AccelerList features, and what steps to take to resolve them.

An eBay account restriction can affect your ability to create, edit, or manage listings. If your eBay account is connected to AccelerList, restrictions placed by eBay may also prevent certain eBay features from working as expected.

Why Can an eBay Account Be Restricted?

eBay may restrict an account for different reasons, including account verification, seller performance, policy compliance, or other account-related concerns.

The specific reason for a restriction should be reviewed directly within your eBay account.

How Can a Restriction Affect AccelerList?

AccelerList communicates with eBay to perform eBay-related actions. If eBay doesn't allow a particular action because of an account restriction, AccelerList cannot override that restriction.

For example, you may experience problems publishing new cross-listed items until the issue with your eBay account is resolved.

What Should You Do?

Sign in directly to eBay and check for:

  • Account alerts or notifications

  • Messages from eBay

  • Policy issues

  • Verification requests

  • Required actions

Follow the instructions provided by eBay to address the restriction.

What Should You Do After the Restriction Is Removed?

Once eBay confirms that the issue has been resolved, return to AccelerList and check your eBay connection.

If necessary, reconnect or reauthorize your account before trying to cross-list again.

If eBay shows that your account is in good standing but you're still having problems in AccelerList, contact AccelerList Support with the error message or a screenshot.
