eBay Business Policies help you manage important listing settings such as shipping, returns, and payment-related preferences. Keeping these policies accurate and up to date is especially important when using AccelerList to cross-list inventory.
Why Should You Maintain Your Business Policies?
Business Policies can be reused across multiple listings, making it easier to keep your selling terms consistent.
Your policies should reflect how you currently handle orders. Outdated or incorrect settings could create confusion for buyers or cause problems when publishing listings.
What Policies Should You Review?
Depending on your eBay account and marketplace, review your:
Shipping Policy – Check your shipping services, costs, handling time, and shipping locations.
Return Policy – Make sure your return period and other return conditions reflect how you currently handle returns.
Payment Settings or Policy – Review any applicable payment-related settings associated with your listings.
What If You Change a Business Policy?
Be careful when changing, replacing, or deleting policies that may already be associated with your listings.
If you make significant changes directly on eBay, review your eBay settings in AccelerList before continuing to cross-list.
What If a Policy Causes a Cross-Listing Error?
If eBay returns an error mentioning a missing or invalid policy, sign in to eBay and make sure the required policy still exists and is properly configured.
After correcting the policy, return to AccelerList and try again.
If the problem continues, contact AccelerList Support and provide the exact error message you're receiving.
