How to Track an FBA Shipment After It Leaves Your Facility

Explains how to monitor an FBA shipment after carrier pickup and the difference between carrier tracking and Amazon's receiving process.

Once your FBA shipment has been handed over to the carrier, you can monitor its progress as it travels to the Amazon fulfillment center.

Tracking your shipment helps you confirm that the carrier has received your boxes, monitor their delivery progress, and identify potential delays.

Where Can I Track My FBA Shipment?

You can check your shipment through Amazon Seller Central.

Locate the shipment in your FBA shipment workflow and review its shipment and tracking details. Depending on the carrier and shipment method, you'll be able to see information such as:

  • Carrier

  • Tracking number

  • Shipment status

  • Delivery progress

  • Amazon receiving status

You can also use the tracking number directly on the carrier's website for more detailed transportation updates.

Amazon Partnered Carriers

When using an Amazon Partnered Carrier, shipment tracking is generally integrated into the Amazon shipment workflow.

Once the carrier scans the package, tracking information should begin updating as the shipment moves through the carrier's network.

Non-Partnered Carriers

When using your own carrier, make sure the appropriate tracking information is provided to Amazon when required.

Entering the correct tracking information allows Amazon to associate the carrier's shipment progress with your FBA shipment.

Tracking vs Amazon Receiving

Remember that carrier tracking and Amazon receiving are two different processes.

A carrier may show the shipment as Delivered, but that doesn't necessarily mean Amazon has finished checking the inventory into your FBA account.
