What Does an Inactive Listing Mean?
When an Amazon listing becomes inactive, customers generally cannot purchase the offer until the issue causing the inactive status is resolved.
The listing itself may still exist in your seller account.
Amazon's Manage All Inventory tools allow sellers to identify inactive listings and resolve issues such as suppression, pricing problems, and out-of-stock inventory. Amazon Seller Central
What Happens to the Inventory?
This depends on the fulfillment method and reason the listing became inactive.
For MFN inventory, an item may become inactive when its available quantity reaches zero or when another listing issue prevents the offer from being available.
For FBA inventory, physical units can still be stored at Amazon even when there is no active offer. Amazon refers to FBA inventory without an associated active offer as stranded inventory. Sell on Amazon
What Happens in AccelerList?
AccelerList receives listing and inventory information from Amazon. If Amazon reports a change to the listing's status, that change can be reflected in AccelerList after synchronization.
If an item unexpectedly becomes inactive, check Amazon Seller Central first to determine the reason.
How Do I Make the Listing Active Again?
The required action depends on why Amazon made the listing inactive. You may need to:
Add available quantity
Correct missing listing information
Resolve a pricing issue
Reactivate or relist a closed listing
Resolve a restriction or approval requirement
Fix stranded FBA inventory
For a previously closed listing, Amazon indicates that sellers can locate it under Manage All Inventory → Inactive and use the available Relist or Reactivate listing option when eligible. Amazon Seller Central
Once the issue is resolved and Amazon shows the listing as active again, allow time for the updated status to synchronize with AccelerList.
