To support retailer-specific operational flows, Logiwa now provides a Retailer Compliance Job Type Template. This configuration enables automated UCC label handling and enforces compliance with retailer-specific requirements during the picking process.

How to Configure a Retailer Compliance Job Type

Follow the steps below to create a job type using the Retailer Compliance template:

  1. Navigate to the Job Type screen

    • Go to the Job Type screen from the main menu.

  2. Create a new Job Type

    • Click on Create Job Type

    • Set Operation Type as: Picking

  3. Fill out the required fields in the General tab:

    • Job Type Name

    • Description

    • Allocation Algorithm

    • Warehouse

  4. Select the Retailer Compliance Template in the Templates tab:

    • Navigate to the Templates tab.

    • Select the Retailer Compliance job type template.

  5. Once the Retailer Compliance template is selected:

    • The Retailer Flow Type parameter is automatically filled as Pre-Print UCC Labels.

      • This activates a flow where both Cases and Parent LPs assigned to retailer orders must be labeled with UCC labels.

      • Case UCC labels need to be generated before the picking process begins.

      • During picking, the picker must scan or enter the UCC label number for the allocated cases.

    • A new parameter, UCC Label Scanning Type, is introduced with this template. It controls how UCC labels are scanned during picking.

You can choose one of the following two options:

      • 1- Scan Interval

        • The picker scans only the first and last UCC labels for a case pick.

        1. Example: If 10 cases of SKU A are picked, the picker enters the first and last UCC label numbers.

        2. The system assumes the remaining 8 UCC labels are sequentially correct, based on pre-printed labels association with the shipment order lines.

      • 2- Scan All UCC Labels

        • The picker must scan or enter each individual UCC label.

        • Example: For 10 cases of SKU A, all 10 UCC labels must be entered during the picking task.

Default Settings for Retailer Job Type

  • The following parameters are defaulted to FALSE and cannot be changed when the Retailer Compliance template is used:

    • Only Pack

    • Auto Complete Picking Tasks

    • Create Sorting Task

    • One By One Sorting

    • Disable Tote Scanning

  • The Batch Size in the Job Type configuration has been defined as Number of Orders β†’ Min: 0 | Max: 1 by default.

  • In the Mobile Screen Type selection, Pick to Location is enabled by default.

    • (As the Pick and Sort screen flow is not eligible for the retailer picking flow.)

Note:

A new condition called Retailer has been added to the Job Type Condition List.

  • This allows job types to be tailored to specific retailers, ensuring more granular control over compliance workflows.

Summary

The Retailer Compliance Job Type Template allows warehouses to:

  • Enforce UCC label scanning before picking.

  • Choose between scanning intervals or all labels based on retailer requirements.

  • Apply consistent operational constraints to meet retailer compliance.
