Review transaction-specific charges without waiting for periodic billing reports. Provide clear, immediate validation of charges associated with their specific orders.
Calculate and view applicable billing charges for a specific SO or PO without navigating to the Billing module.
Prerequisites
Before this feature can be used, two setup steps are required:
1. User Permissions
An administrator must grant the View Billing Charges permission to the relevant user roles.

2. Approve a Billing Contract
The second step in enabling on-demand charge calculation is the approval of your billing contracts. Only contracts marked as Approved will be included when calculating charges on an SO or PO.
To approve a contract:
Navigate to the Billing screen.
Select the billing contract you wish to approve.
Mark the contract as Approved under the Actions button. A confirmation pop-up will appear.
The contract is now active for on-demand calculations. A client may have more than one approved contract. The system will consider all approved contracts applicable to the order's client during calculation.
View Billing Charges on an Order
Once the prerequisites are completed, follow these steps to calculate charges:
Navigate to the Shipment Order or Purchase Order screen.
Open the specific order for which you want to view billing charges.
Click the View Billing Charges button, located on the right-hand side of the screen.
The system will then perform a real-time calculation based on all approved billing contracts relevant to that order. The results will be displayed in a table at the bottom of the screen.

Note: If no approved billing contract is found for the order's client, a notification message will be displayed, and no charges will be calculated.
The calculated charges are presented in a clear, tabular format. This table is for viewing purposes only and does not persist if you navigate away from the page.
Here is a description of each column in the results table:
Field Name | Description |
Billing Form Name | The name of the approved billing contract used for the calculation. |
Fee Name | The specific name of the charge as defined in the billing contract. |
Operation Type | The type of transaction being billed (e.g., Shipment, Receiving, Pick & Pack). |
Fee By | The method used to determine the fee (e.g., Per SO, Per Label, Per Product). |
Charge By | Defines how the charge is applied (e.g., Per Unit, Per SO). |
From QTY / To QTY | The quantity range for tiered pricing, if applicable. |
Unit Price | The price per unit for the fee. |
Quantity | The actual quantity from the order that was used in the calculation. |
Price | The final calculated cost for that specific line item (Quantity x Unit Price). |
Activity Date | The date the billable activity occurred. |
Total Price | The sum of all calculated fees for the entire Shipment Order or Purchase Order. |
Important Notes:
The charges shown are calculated in real-time for that specific moment. The results are not saved to the order. If you leave the screen and return later, you must click the "View Billing Charges" button again to see the most current calculation.
If a billing contract is updated or a new one is approved after you have viewed the charges, you must re-trigger the calculation to see the new results.
This functionality applies to charges related to Shipment Orders and Purchase Orders, including Shipment, Receiving, Pick & Pack, and VAS operations linked to an order. Storage charges and Work Order charges are not included in this on-demand calculation.
