Overview
When receiving a Purchase Order on the Logiwa IO mobile app, Logiwa IO can pre-fill Lot Number, Expiry Date, and Production Date from the purchase order line — so you don't have to look up or retype values that are already known. If the purchase order leaves no real choice, the values are simply applied. Otherwise, a short sheet lets you resolve each attribute by picking from a list or entering it manually.
When to Use It
This applies automatically when:
The Purchase Order Type has Enable Attribute Auto-Population on Mobile Receiving turned on
You're receiving a product that tracks Lot Number, Expiry Date, and/or Production Date
If the toggle is off, the screen behaves as it always has — blank fields for you to fill in manually.
Prerequisites
Enable Attribute Auto-Population on Mobile Receiving is turned on for the PO Type. See Purchase Order Type Creation.
The product has Lot/Batch, Expiry Date, and/or Production Date tracking enabled at product setup — only tracked attributes appear.
The Purchase Order line has attribute values entered, where available. Any value left blank on the PO line is treated as "unknown," not "must be blank" — you enter what's on the physical product.
Step-by-Step Guide
Standard Receiving
Scan the PO, location, and product as usual on the Select Product screen.
Logiwa IO checks the purchase order line(s) for this product:
If there's exactly one attribute combination on the PO and every tracked field has a value, the values are applied automatically and shown as editable chips on the product card. No sheet appears.
In every other case, the Enter/Select/Confirm Attributes sheet opens automatically.
In the sheet, each tracked attribute (Lot Number, Expiry Date, Production Date) is its own row. Tap a row to resolve it:
Select from List — choose from the values available on the PO. A search box also appears for navigating through existing values.
Enter Manually — type the value from the physical product.
You can resolve the rows in any order. Once you resolve one, the others narrow to only the values still consistent with your choice.
A field is pre-filled for you automatically only if every possible combination on the PO agrees on the same value — otherwise it's left for you to choose.
Tap Save. Save stays disabled until every tracked field is resolved.
Continue to the Receive Product screen and enter quantity as usual.
⚠️Values remain editable right up until you tap Receive. If the PO Type has a Lot Batch Number/Expiry Date/Production Date Match toggle turned on, the value you submit is checked against the PO line at that point — a mismatch is rejected with an error banner, and nothing is written to inventory.
One-by-One Receiving
If the PO Type has Allow One By One Receiving enabled, there's no product card to show pre-filled chips on, so the confirmation sheet always opens — even when there's only one possible combination. In that case it opens fully pre-filled and confirming is a single tap.
Resolve the sheet the same way as above and tap Save.
To skip the sheet on your next scan of the same product, check Use these attributes for this product until another product is scanned in this PO before saving.
Once checked, an Attributes in Use for This Product card appears on the scanning screen showing what will be applied to your next scan of that product.
Scanning a different product automatically clears the remembered values — the next scan of the original product will ask again.
If Nothing Matches
If a value you type manually doesn't match any combination on the PO, the other fields clear and open in manual-entry mode — there's nothing left on the PO to suggest.
Use Clear Attribute Values (3-dot menu, inside the sheet) to reset every field and start over. Save stays disabled until all fields are filled in again.
Key Fields & Options
Field | Description |
Lot Number | Shown only if Lot/Batch tracking is on for the product. Pre-filled or resolved via the sheet. |
Expiry Date | Shown only if Expiry Date tracking is on. On products where expiry is calculated from production date, this field may be replaced by a Production Date entry instead — see below. |
Production Date | Shown only if Production Date tracking is on. |
Use these attributes for this product until another product is scanned in this PO | Checkbox inside the sheet. Only visible in One-by-One receiving. Remembers your resolved values for repeat scans of the same product. |
Clear Attribute Values | 3-dot menu action inside the sheet. Resets all fields in the sheet at once. Nothing is saved by this action. |
Common Questions & Edge Cases
Why didn't the fields fill in automatically even though the PO has this SKU?
Auto-fill without the sheet only happens when the PO has exactly one attribute combination for that SKU and every tracked field on it has a value. If there's more than one combination, or any tracked field is blank on the PO line, the Enter/Select/Confirm Attributes sheet opens for you to resolve it.
The PO line doesn't have a value for this attribute at all — what do I enter?
A blank attribute on the PO means the value wasn't known when the PO was created, not that it should stay blank. Read the actual value off the product and enter it; it doesn't need to match anything already on the PO.
Can I still enter something different from what's suggested?
Yes. Every field stays editable until you tap Receive. If a Match toggle is on for the PO Type, your final value is checked against the PO line only at that point.
Why is a field on my screen labeled "Production Date" when I expected Expiry Date?
Some products calculate Expiry Date automatically from Production Date plus a fixed shelf life. On those products, the field you resolve is Production Date, and Expiry Date is calculated for you and shown read-only. On products where the reverse is true — Expiry Date is tracked but Production Date isn't — the field is labeled Production Date but its list is built from expiry-minus-shelf-life values; the date you provide there is used to work out the real expiry.
I resolved Expiry Date first — why does the Lot list still include a value from a combination I wouldn't expect?
If a PO line's Expiry Date wasn't specified, that line accepts any expiry you enter, so its Lot value stays available in the list rather than being hidden. This is expected — the PO simply doesn't rule that combination out.
Does the "remember" checkbox work in standard (non one-by-one) receiving?
No. It's only available inside the sheet during One-by-One receiving, since that's the only mode where the sheet reappears on every unit scan.
I checked the box, but I need to un-remember without scanning a different product — can I?
Yes, by clicking to the Ask for Attributes on Next Scan button, attribute selection/entry bottomsheet can be re-triggerred for the same product scannings on the same PO.
