When a customer address is created, Logiwa sends this address in real-time to the address verification provider service. The service then returns a deliverability status for customer addresses.

Address Validation Process

Orders with US addresses undergo automatic validation.

If you wish for an order's address verification status to affect the order's workflow, Address Verification Status can be used as a Condition in our automated workflows. Learn more about creating such workflows here.

Address Verification Status

Various statuses are applied to addresses after verification. Each is explained below:

  • Waiting for Verification: Indicates the address is queued for validation. Addresses may take a few minutes to leave this status.

  • Address Verified and Corrected: Indicates the address has been successfully corrected and validated through the address verification service.

  • Address Verified With Warning: Suggests the address appears correct but may contain errors.

  • Invalid Address: Denotes an address that has failed verification and is deemed invalid.

  • International: Addresses that are not within the country of origin for the order will be marked with this status.

Please note, even after an address has been submitted for verification, it does not guarantee that the address will always be deliverable. Possible reasons for non-deliverability include an incorrect postal code, a missing second address line, an absent customer name (recipient name), and so on.
