Packing Station Screen

  • When you start a packing task, the system displays a product card on the left side of the screen.

  • This card shows important information, including the Lot Number, Expiry Date, and Production Date of the packing task, depending on the product's settings.

Scanning Attributes

  • If your product requires attribute scanning during packing, the system will prompt you to scan or manually enter the Lot Number, Expiry Date, and/or Production Date after you scan the product or click on the line-based "Pack" button.

    • Example: If you’re packing a product with an expiry date, the system will ask you to either scan the expiry date from the product’s label or type it in manually.

  • Note: The "Pack All" button cannot be used if there are multiple products requiring attribute scanning that have been allocated with different attributes.

Handling Different Scenarios in Packing

  • Single Order in a Tote/Location:

    • When you scan a tote or location that contains only one order, the system automatically finds the order and displays the products with the relevant attribute fields.

    • You simply scan or input the required attributes, and the system will move to the next field without requiring any extra clicks.

  • Multiple Orders in a Tote/Location:

    • If there are multiple orders in the same tote or location, the system will ask you to scan the product’s SKU to find the correct order.

      • If the scanned SKU requires attribute scanning during packing, then the system asks for the attribute even before finding the order.

    • After finding the order, you’ll be prompted to enter the attributes just as you would with a single order.

  • Identical Orders in a Tote/Location:

In cases where there are identical orders in a location or tote (e.g., 100 orders), the system will handle attribute scanning as follows:

    • After scanning the location or tote, if the scanned SKU requires attribute scanning during packing, the system will ask for the attribute.

    • Suppose 90 orders are allocated with the same attribute (e.g., same Lot Number, Expiry Date, and/or Production Date), and 10 orders have a different attribute.

    • If you scan the attribute corresponding to the 90 orders, the system will display one of these 90 orders on the screen.

    • As you complete packing for this order, the system will notify you that there are 89 more orders with the same attribute, allowing you to continue packing these without interruption.

    • The system will exclude the 10 orders with different attributes from this batch.

    • After all 90 orders are packed and batch labels are generated, you can then proceed to pack the remaining 10 orders with the different attributes.

Validation and Error Handling

  • After you enter the attributes, the system will automatically check if they match what’s expected for the packing task.

  • If everything is correct: The packing process continues smoothly.

  • If there’s an error: The system will notify you with an error message, letting you know that there’s a mismatch in the attributes.

Viewing Packed Items

  • Once an item is packed, its details, including the Lot Number, Expiry Date, and Production Date, will appear in an “Attributes” column on the right-hand side of the screen.

  • This makes it easy to review the attributes for all packed items before completing the packing task.
