We have enhanced the Inventory by Location screen with two new transfer buttons: Transfer Product and Transfer Location/LP. These improvements include detailed inventory status checks and the ability to transfer allocated inventory, offering users greater flexibility and control over their inventory movements.

Key Features

  • Transfer Product: Enables the transfer of products by selecting single or multiple lines directly from the inventory grid. Users can transfer items between locations or LPs.

  • Transfer Location/LP: Allows for more complex transfers of locations and License Plates (LPs) through manual entry, supporting multiple flow scenarios between LPs and locations.

  • Inventory Status Check: Verifies the status of products before transferring, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.

  • Error Handling: Error messages are provided when location or LP entries do not match the selected warehouse.

Transfer Product

The Transfer Product button allows users to transfer selected product lines between locations or LPs. The screen displays product details such as:

  • Pack Type

  • Pack Quantity

  • Damage Reason

  • Expiry Date

  • Lot/Batch Number

Source: Users can choose single or multiple lines from the product grid.

Target: The target for the transfer can be either a location or an LP. If transferring to an empty LP, an additional Transfer Location with LP option is available. The target cannot be multiple locations or LPs.

Transfer Location/LP

The Transfer Location/LP button supports manual entry for more complex transfers between LPs and locations.

The warehouse must be selected first, and the system will check if the Location/LP/Parent LP matches with the warehouse. If not, an error message is displayed:

"This inventory not found."

Supported Flows:

  1. From LP to a location

  2. From LP to a parent LP

  3. From LP to another LP (within the same location)

  4. From LP to another LP (within the same parent LP)

  5. From parent LP to a location

  6. From parent LP to another parent LP

  7. From parent LP to another LP (within the same location)

  8. From parent LP to another LP (within the same parent LP)

Screen Details:

  • Warehouse (dropdown) and Transfer from LP fields are mandatory.

  • After searching, the screen displays LP information, including:

    • LP Type

    • Parent LP

    • Location

    • LP Quantity

    • Pack Type

    • Pack Quantity

    • SKU

    • SKU Quantity

The Target Input allows users to move inventory to a specific Location/LP/Parent LP. If transferring to an empty LP, there is also an option to transfer the Location with LP.

Transfer Location

The Transfer Location function works similarly to the LP transfers but involves moving inventory between locations and LPs.

Supported Flows:

  1. From Location to another location

  2. From Location to a parent LP

  3. From Location to an LP (within the same location)

  4. From Location to an LP (within the same parent LP)

Screen Details:

  • Warehouse (dropdown) and Transfer from Location fields are mandatory.

  • After searching, the screen displays location information, including:

    • LP

    • Lot/Batch Number

    • Pack Type

    • Pack Quantity

    • SKU

    • SKU Quantity

    • Expiry Date

    • Production Date

Target Input: The target could be a Location/LP/Parent LP. If the target is inside a parent LP, users will be informed where the LP can be found.

Purpose of the Transfer Functionality

The new Transfer from Inventory by Location functionality is designed to streamline inventory management, offering flexible transfer options for products and LPs. By enhancing inventory status checks and enabling transfers of allocated inventory, users can optimize their warehouse operations. These updates allow for more accurate and efficient transfers, ultimately improving overall inventory control and reducing errors.
