Overview
The Inventory by Location screen lets supervisors move inventory from the web app without a mobile device. There are two buttons:

Every transfer is recorded in the transaction history, the same as a mobile transfer.

When to use it
Correct a stock location from the office after a count shows items in the wrong bin.
Move a pallet (LP) to a new rack position without sending someone with a scanner.
Consolidate the contents of one LP into another.
Break cases into units as you move them (see Converting Higher Pack Types to UOM from Inventory by Location).
Prerequisites
Your role has the Transfer Product and/or Transfer LP/Location permissions, found on the role under Inventory. Without them, clicking the button shows: "You don't have access to proceed. Please ask for access from your administrator."
Source and target are in the same warehouse.
Transfer Product
Go to Inventory → Inventory by Location.
Select one or more lines in the grid.
Click Transfer Product.
Review the line details: Pack Type, Pack Qty, Damage Reason, Expiry Date, Production Date and Lot/Batch Number. With several lines selected, you see a combined summary instead.
For a single line, enter the quantity to transfer.
Enter one target: a location or an LP. Unlike the mobile app, there's no location confirmation for an empty target LP.
Confirm the transfer.
Example: One line shows 48 units of SKU-210, lot L-77, at BULK-03. You enter 24 and target PICK-11. BULK-03 keeps 24 units and PICK-11 receives 24 units of lot L-77.
You can only choose one target per transfer. With several lines selected, you can't edit the quantity per line: each selected line is transferred in full.
Transfer LP
Click Transfer Location/LP → Transfer LP.
Select the Warehouse and enter the LP in Transfer from LP (both required). You can use the LP number or its alternate barcode.
Review the LP details: LP Type, Parent LP, Location, LP Quantity, Pack Type, Pack Quantity, SKU and SKU Quantity. When an LP holds several SKUs or pack types, the field shows "Multi" and a count.
Enter the target in Move to LP/Location and confirm.
What happens depends on the source and target:

If the target location has Auto Remove LP After Transfer turned on, an LP moved into it is stored without the LP. See Auto Remove LP After Transfer.
Transfer Location
Click Transfer Location/LP → Transfer Location.
Select the Warehouse and enter the source in Transfer from Location (both required).
Review the location contents: LP, Lot/Batch Number, Pack Type, Pack Quantity, SKU, SKU Quantity, Expiry Date and Production Date.
Enter the target location, LP or parent LP and confirm.
Supported moves: location → location, location → parent LP, location → LP in a location, location → LP on a parent LP. When the target is an LP, Logiwa IO tells you where it is, for example "You can find this LP in CART-3 at STAGE-2."
Example: Bin C-04-02 holds 3 SKUs. You transfer the location to C-04-05; all 3 SKUs move.
Rules that can block a transfer

💡 Allocated stock isn't blocked: it can be moved, and the related task is updated accordingly.
Converting cases to units
On Transfer Product with a single higher pack type line selected, users with the right permission see a Convert Pack Type to UOM toggle. See Converting Higher Pack Types to UOM from Inventory by Location.
Common questions
Can I transfer to several targets at once? No. Each transfer has exactly one target. Run another transfer for the next target.
Why doesn't the parent LP appear after I moved an LP onto it? It should: after a transfer, the parent LP is shown on the inventory line. Refresh the grid; if it's still missing, contact support.
Can I use the LP's alternate barcode here? Yes, in both the source LP field and the target field.
What's the difference between moving an LP to a location and to another LP? To a location, the LP itself moves. To another LP, only its contents move and the source LP stays behind empty.
