Adding quick add events
Getting your events recorded in Trev is quick and simple, helping you keep an accurate record of what's happening on-farm.
Below is a list of the different quick add events:
Diary Note: Used for logging general farm updates, weather observations, daily reminders, or any miscellaneous notes that don't fit a specific category e.g. scanning or shearing.
Photo: Used to upload images directly to an event from your camera or gallery, perfect for keeping visual evidence of things like weeds, repair jobs, or stock conditions.
Task: Used for creating digital to-do items to assign, track, and manage chores or maintenance jobs for yourself and your farm team.
Timesheet - Used to track hours worked for shifts on the farm. Please note: You’ll need to use the web app to access this feature, as it isn't available on mobile just yet.
Land Event: Used for recording paddock-specific activities such as sowing, spraying or harvesting.
Land Use: A ‘Land Use Area’ is where a portion of your farm is categorised for a period of time, such as an area that is set aside for hay, silage or cropping.
Livestock Event: Used for logging livestock movements including sales, purchases, deaths to maintain your stock reconciliation.
Feed Event: Used for recording supplementary feeding, silage/hay making, crop yields to keep your feed budget accurate.
Nutrient Event: Used to track fertiliser applications.
Weight Event: Used to enter average mob weights to track growth rates, monitor stock performance, and manage target weights.
Pasture Walk: Used to log regular paddock cover assessments to help manage your feed budget and rotation.
Animal Health*: Used to record specific health treatments, vaccinations, or vet interventions administered to individual animals or specific mobs. Please note: You’ll need to use the web app to access this feature, as it isn't available on mobile just yet
Product Batch*: Used for tracking animal medication inventory batches with exact batch numbers and expiry dates for compliance and traceability. Please note: You’ll need to use the web app to access this feature, as it isn't available on mobile just yet.
Handy Tip: You can add photos or documents to any event type. Great for keeping visual records alongside your events.
To create a draft quick add event:
Click on the Quick Add menu (+) in the top right corner of the Trev dashboard or in the bottom right hand corner if you are using the mobile app
Select the type of event you want to create
Select the Farm you wish to create the event for
Select the Date of the event
Fill out the remainder of the information needed for that event type
Enter in a Reference no. and/or Notes (optional)
Click on the blue Create Draft Event button
Important to note: An event that is created via the Quick Add function will remain in a draft state. You can view our full help article here on how to confirm a draft event.
Calendar view
The Calendar section lets you check any past, present, or future events on the farm. Perfect to keep track of what's coming up or looking back at events for auditing purposes.
Filter by Event Type: Easily filter your calendar view to show only specific events, like Livestock or Feed, so you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Click to View Details: You can click on any event in the calendar to open up its full summary, view notes, or check attached photos and documents.
Viewing Events on the Mobile App
Open the Trev mobile app.
Tap on the Manage Events section.
Browse or filter through your list of past events and active drafts.
Viewing on the Web App
Log into the Trev web app.
From the main menu or dashboard, navigate to Analytics.
Select Detailed reports to choose what you would information you would like to dive into. view, track, and filter a full breakdown of all your logged farm events.
Below is a list of the available detailed reports you can pull
Livestock Movements: Generate a list of livestock events for farm(s) over time.
Liveweights: Generate a list of weight events for farm(s) over time.
Animal Health Events: Generate a list of animal health events for farm(s) over time.
Medicine Cabinet: View the medicine cabinet for your farm(s).
Feed Events: Generate a list of feed events for farm(s) over time.
Feed Wedge: View a feed wedge or generate a list of pasture walks.
Paddock Info: View paddock event history over time.
Fertiliser Applications: Generate a list of fertiliser applications for farm(s) over time.Tasks: View and manage tasks across your farm(s).
Timesheets: View and manage timesheets across your farm(s).
