Everything you need to get up and running with Notebook

Complete your sign up form

To get you started, we'll need you to fill out a quick sign up form with the following information:

  • Your details (name, phone number, email address)

  • Company name

  • Farm name

  • Farm address

  • Season start date

  • Fertiliser company

  • Number of farms

  • Hawkeye/MyBallance .Zip Shapefile

Once we’ve got your completed form, we’ll get everything set up on our end. You can typically expect your login details by email within two business days.

Set up your opening numbers

Follow up the articles below to set up your numbers for the season ahead for an accurate start.

Handy tip: If you need additional stock classes or feed types in Trev, let us know. A Trev administrator can easily add those in for you. Just reach out to using the Intercom chat icon in the bottom left corner of Trev.

Invite Users

When you're ready to invite your team, you can add as many users as you need, with various levels of access. Follow the article below on how to invite users:

Trev Mobile App

Farming doesn’t happen behind a desk, which is why the Trev mobile app is built to go wherever you do. The mobile app puts your farm’s digital records right in your pocket.

Whether you need to quickly log an on-farm event or tick off a task on the fly, the Trev app makes it simple to capture data.

Handy Tip: If you're out of mobile coverage, you can still add events in the mobile app that will sync once you're back in reception or on wifi.

Set up your farm map

Your farm map is a visual view of your property, helping you manage paddocks, record activity, and keep track of what’s happening across the farm.

With Trev, you can:

  • create and manage paddocks

  • edit paddock boundaries and details

  • reorder paddocks

  • add custom map layers

  • track features like troughs, waterlines, hazards, and more.

Getting your map into Trev

To get started, you can either:

  • provide a supported HawkEye or MyBallance map file at sign up

  • draw your own paddocks directly in Trev

Supported map uploads are included as part of your setup.

When additional setup charges may apply: Occasionally we receive third-party GIS files that require additional processing before they can be imported properly. This can include:

  • unsupported or incomplete shapefiles

  • broken boundary data

  • manual paddock splitting

  • additional redraw or cleanup work

If extra work is required, we’ll let you know upfront and confirm any one-off setup cost before proceeding.

Draw and manage your own map

You can easily map out your property with Trev's map feature by creating new paddocks, editing the polygon shapes associated with them, updating paddock details, and reordering how they appear. You can take it a step further set up map layers that let you categorise distinct features/landmarks like waterlines, troughs, hazards and more.
