Overview
Setting up the Trev + Datamars Livestock integration is a one-off process:
Connect your Datamars Livestock account to Trev.
Create a connection for each farm you want to sync.
Once that's done, new weight sessions will be imported automatically.
Getting started:
Make sure you’re all set up with a Trev account:
You have an active Trev login and can access go.mytrev.com
You have Full Access or Authorised access to any farms you wish to connect to Datamar. You can check your farm access levels here.
The farm you want to connect with Datamars has a Trev Pro subscription.
Make sure you’re all set up with Datamars:
An active Datamars Livestock login.
Access to the farms you want to connect.
Getting connected:
Once you've reviewed the getting started checklist above, you'll want to connect your Trev account with your Datamars account. Here's how:
Click the menu icon (three lines) in the top left corner.
Select Integrations.
Find the Datamars Livestock tile and click Connect.
Read the agreement and click I Agree.
Sign in using your Datamars Livestock account.
Select the farms you want Trev to access and approve them.
You'll then return to Trev, where your farms will appear under either Connected or Not Connected.
If you don't see a Connect button, check that you have Full Access or Authorised access to at least one Trev Pro farm.
Create a connection for a farm
Once your Datamars Livestock account is connected, you'll need to create a connection for each farm.
Find the farm under Not Connected and click Connect.
Under Farm Mapping, select the matching Datamars Livestock farm.
Give the connection a name that's easy to recognise.
Choose the Data Synchronisation Range.
Set a Start Date for when sessions should begin importing.
Leave the End Date blank if you want the connection to continue indefinitely.
Choose how imported sessions should arrive:
Draft (recommended) – sessions are imported ready for review as part of your weekly reporting.
Confirmed – sessions are imported and immediately included in your reporting.
Click Create Connection.
If the farm you want doesn't appear in the Farm Mapping list, it hasn't been approved in Datamars Livestock yet. You can update the approved farms at any time.
What to expect
Once you've created the connection, the farm moves into the Connected list and displays its current connection status.
Draft means the connection start date is still in the future.
Current means the connection is active and sessions are being imported.
Note: The connection status is different from the Draft or Confirmed setting you selected when creating the connection. The connection status tells you whether the connection is active, while the Data State controls how imported weight events appear in your weekly report.
Your first weight sessions will usually appear within a few hours. If you don't want to wait, you can trigger a manual sync straight away.
Change which farms are available
The farms available for mapping are the ones you've approved in Datamars Livestock.
To change them:
Open the Datamars Livestock integration.
Find the Connected to Datamars Livestock banner.
Click the cog icon.
Select Manage farms.
Update the farms you want Trev to access.
If access to a farm is removed in Datamars Livestock, the connection in Trev will show as Revoked and syncing will pause.
Once you approve the farm again, syncing will resume automatically. Any weight events already imported into Trev will remain unchanged.
How to Remove the connection
Open the Datamars Livestock integration.
Select the farm from the Connected list.
Click the red Delete button.
Confirm by selecting Yes, Delete Connection.
Important: Deleting a connection also removes every weight event that was imported through it. This action can't be undone.
If you simply want to stop importing new sessions, set an end date on the Data Synchronisation Range instead and update the connection. Existing weight events will remain in Trev.
