The Nearo desktop app and Dashboard both give you ready-to-send invitation text and your Room link to share with a guest.
ℹ️ Nearo does not send invitations for you. Copy the text or link and send it in an email, text message, or any messaging tool. Your Room link never changes and cannot be customized, so you can share the same one every time.
Copying from the Nearo desktop app
Open the Nearo desktop app and sign in. Nearo opens to the home screen. In the My room card at the top of the page:
Select Copy student/family note to copy a message for a parent or guardian joining with a student.
Select Copy guest note to copy a message for an adult, colleague, or general guest.
Select the copy icon in the row under My room link to copy only your Room link, without the full invitation message.
A check mark appears for a moment after each copy.
💡 When your Room is open, the Room window also shows your link with a copy button, and, when nobody is waiting, the Participants panel (opened from the Controls bar along the bottom of the Room window) has a Copy room link button.
Copying from your Dashboard
Open the Nearo Dashboard in your browser and sign in. The Dashboard has a card called Invite someone to your Nearo room near the top of the page, under the welcome heading. Teachers and admins see it. It has the same three options — choose the one that matches your situation.
Select Copy student/family instructions to copy a message for a parent or guardian joining with a student.
Select Copy guest instructions to copy a message for an adult, colleague, or general guest.
Select Copy room link to copy only your Room link, without the full invitation message.
After copying instructions, the Dashboard shows "Copied. You can now paste the instructions into a message." After copying only the link, it shows "Copied. You can now paste your room link into a message."
💡 Use the room link on its own when you have already explained how to join or want to send a shorter message.
What the student and family message includes
The student/family message is intended for educators inviting a parent or guardian to help a student join a session.
The message explains:
What Nearo is — a private online room designed for one-to-one tutoring and instruction
What it supports — audio, video, screen sharing, and shared screen control when helpful
How the student joins — the family opens the Room link, enters the student's name, and clicks Join Room
That the browser may ask for microphone and camera access
That the educator will admit the student into the Room
That no Nearo account or app installation is required
What the guest message includes
The guest message is intended for inviting another adult, colleague, or general guest.
The message explains:
What Nearo is — a private online room for one-to-one audio, video, screen sharing, and collaboration
What it supports — real-time collaboration with screen sharing and shared screen control when needed
How the guest joins — they open the Room link, enter their name, and click Join Room
That the browser may ask for microphone and camera access
That the host will admit them into the Room
That no Nearo account or app installation is required
