The Inventory tab offers comprehensive information about your inventory. You can access KPIs specific to your selected locations or consolidated regions. You can also filter the data by item groups and customize the timeframe to focus on what matters most to you. You'll find a range of KPIs on the top of the tab, as well as useful graphs, which give you information about your inventory's health, potential lost sales, and availability. Information is displayed by day. Gaps in history indicate that a data import did not happen on that day.

What should I do first?

Click on the location drop down to select a location you wish to view the KPIs for.

You may select to view the KPIs for all locations, specific physical locations or consolidated regions.

When viewing the dashboard at a region, the TOTAL excess and stock-outs will be displayed. This differs from viewing a region’s information on the Dashboard, where excess at one location can be offset by stock outs at another.

Click on the group drop down to select a group of items you wish to view the KPIs for. This is only available if your standard dashboard is broken down by a group. If so, that group will be available for selection.

Click on the timeframe drop down to select how much history you wish to have displayed on the dashboard. The longer the time frame, the longer the dashboard will take to load.

Key performance indicators

View KPIs for the selected location at the top of the view. These are described below.

Stock holding - The sum of actual stock.

Model - The weighted model stock value. The Model stock value is the optimal stock holding and assumes that there is no excess stock and that every single item in every location is in perfect balance.

Fill rate - The weighted achieved fill rate. Your Achieved fill rate percentage for an item is the actual percentage of days that this item was not stocked out in the last 30 days.

Target fill rate - The weighted target fill rate. Your Target fill rate percentage for an item is the percentage of time you wish to have that item readily stocked and available to be sold.

SKULs - Stock Keeping Units by Location - The count of the item codes or product codes.

Excess - The sum of stock over and above the order-up-to-level (LT+SS+RC).

Surplus orders - The sum of orders in the pipeline that will result in excess should they be received.

Stocked out - The sum of potential lost sales due to items with an availability of zero or a negative value.

Potential stock outs - The sum of potential lost sales due to items predicted to stock out before the next order arrives.

New - The sum value of new items with limited sales history.

OK - The sum value of items with stock between the minimum (SS) and maximum (SS + RC) range.

If you are unfamiliar with the KPI definitions, visit the in-app tours on the Dashboard for further elaboration.

Graphs

There are useful graphs within this tab, and these are explained below.

Inventory value - This graph displays the sum of the inventory value and the sum of the model value.

Excess value - This graph displays the sum of the excess inventory value.

Surplus orders value - This graph displays the sum of the surplus orders.

Fill rate - This graph displays the weighted target fill rate and achieved fill rate. This information was not recorded prior to Q4 2022 and thus there won’t be information older than that.

Stocked out value - This graph displays the sum of the potential lost sales due to items with an availability of zero or a negative value.

Potential stock out value - This graph displays the sum of the potential lost sales due to items predicted to stock out before the next order arrives.

Stock turns - This graph displays the average number of stock turns.

New value - This graph displays the sum value of new items with limited sales history.

OK value - This graph displays the sum value of items with stock between the minimum (SS) and maximum (SS + RC) range.

SKULs - This graph displays the sum of the item codes or product codes.

Status breakdown - This graph displays the number of SKULs (stock keeping units by location) in each stocking status.

Status contribution - This graph displays the percentage of stock in each stocking status.

Group by status - This bubble chart displays the amount of items in each stocking indicator for each group of items in your top selection. The larger the bubble, the more items in that selection. Hover over a bubble to view its information. Bubbles contained inside the big bubble indicate the number of SKULs in that category. Bigger bubbles indicate more SKULs in a certain status.
